Notes for John Johnston, Sr.

October 28, 1717, Francis Bracy sold John Johnson, son of William Johnson, for 600 pounds of tobacco 100 acres south of Blackwater Swamp adjoing WIlliam Johnson in Isle of Wight, Great Book, Vol 2, part 2, p 111

In his father's will , 1719, he received reversional interst in his home plantation of 150 acres.

1748/49, John Johnson, Sr and John Johnson, Jr of Isle of Wight sold James Fowler for 10 pounds, 150 acres on Blackwater at the mouth of Deep Branch adjoining James Peden, John Johnson, Sr., the patent line and Blackwater Swamp (from a patent of 428 acres to William Johnson of October 28, 1702). Probably the 150 acre reversional interest given to John, Sr in his father's will.
