Notes for Nathaniel Boulter

Nathaniel received property and power of attorney from his father-in-law Richard Swain in September 1660 when Richard was moving to Nantucket. Nathaniel and Grace lived on Rand's Hill and he had some difficulty with the town of Hampton that resulted in several lawsuits with the municipality. They gave him a grant of land to compromise settlement, so it is presumed that his complaints were valid. It is also reported that Grace, along with other women wer accused of witchcraft (common during that period), but there does not appear to be any record of such accusations.
