Notes for Lawrence Washington

Died in the winter of 1616-17, shortly before January 19, he was living in a house on an estate called "Wickamon" owned by the Baron Robert Spencer, as is proved by the record of the grant of administration on Lawrence's estate on January 19, 1616-17 which describes him as of Wickamon. Wickamon was about 6 miles east of Westbury.
Lawrence's grave is in the chancel of the church, and in the floor directly in front of and close to the central tomb (bearing recumbent effigies) of Sir John Spencer who died in the year 1586.
