Listed on the Surry County quit rent roll, 1704, as owning "One Tract of Land, he living in England the quantity unknown" (Va. Mag. Hist. and Biog., Vol 29, p 28), left will September 15, 1713 - October 25, 1713, which bequeathed near 200 acres on Upper Chippokes Creek in Surry County to his friend William Rookings.
Another source said he paid tax on 1150 acres of land in 1704.
