Notes for John Major

In 1642 the peninsula was divided into tobacco inspection districts and John Major was one of the official viewers for Hungars.

1651 A son John Major exchanged this land with Stephen Charlton for 200 acres of N75

1650 Patent to John Major for 400 acres "on the south side of Great Nuswattocks River" A21
1664 Major left to his cousin WIlliam Waller and to his brother Richard Johnson, but in some way the title came into the possession William Major, a brother.
