In the accounting of Matthew's estate, Sally showed board and clothing 3 children from April 1805 to 1808, 2 children in 1809 and 1810, and then 1 child from 1811 and 1812. The estate was settled July 19, 1813.

Guardian Account Book 2, 1776-1810, Southampton County, p 349, lists the estate of Matthew Johnson decd to Sally Johnson in
1805 boarding and maintainance of 3 small children
1806 boarding and maintainance of 3 small children
Paid tuition for one of these children one and a half years

According to Icle Johnson Smith (1891-1964), genealogy research, she found a Mary W Johnson whose home she visited in North Hampton, North Carolina in 1961. Her second husband was Joseph Bracy married Jan 9, 1807, Southampton, VA. They had one son Soloman Bracy b Dec 1807.
Year 1818 Joseph and Mary J Bracy buy land in Jackson NC in North Hampton County. The homeplace was in fair condition in 1960 when Icle visited. four or five hundred acres. Family cemetery just below the house.
