Rhode Island census of 1774 lists Rufus Harrindon as a resident of Scituate with 2 sons under 16, one female over sixteen and 2 femails under sixteen. In the 1790 census, he is listed in Foster (formerly Scituate), RI, which indicates that he was resident there, probably all his life. Recorded in the RI military census of 1777 as "Rufus Herrindon, Scituate, 16-50 able," but there is no record of Revolutionary service for him at the Rhode Island State House. Neither could any record of his marriage be found.
