"A Journey to the Susquehannah River in 1762 from Sheriff Beriah Brown's papers. The journey started at North Kingstown on Sept 7, 1762, on September 11th he was at Dutchess County in Batemans Precinth. He said he went to John Aylsworth's to swap horses but did not swap.

Listed was John Aylesworth.

History of the Town of East Greenwich from 1677 to 1877, DH Greene, Providence, JA and RA Reid, Printers and Publishers, 1877, p 48: In 1796 the council voted, "that where as Thomas Casey and John AIlsworth, have got some of the proprietor's lots in their possession,k not taken up agreeable to the acts of the proprietors, it is voted by this meeting that the clerk notify them to appear at the adjournment of this meeting, to account by what authority they improve them."
