Vol 18, p 68: July 11, 1836 (from City Council Records No 1, p 254) Petitions from several people including John Aylsworth requesting leave to fence in and enclose buryinglots in the North Burial Ground sufficient for their families respectively. They were given permission.
Vol 19, p 326: October 20, 1838 John Aylsworth enclosed family buying lots in North Burial Ground under the direction of the Overseeer, say 16 feet square, and sanctioned by me, Samuel W Bridgham, Mayor.
He is buried in Section BD lot 98 of the North Burial Gounds in Providence on Main Street just past Linden on the left side tombstone was laying on the ground not standing up when we saw it October 2006.
