The Monroe Advertiser, August 9, 1945, "Miss Lizzie Pritchett, aged 82, lost her life Sunday morning in a fire which destroyed her home near Bolingbroke. The aged woman lived alone and when the fire was discovered about3 am by neighbors, the house was already falling in. Only the charred remains were found, burned beyond recognition. Funeral services were held Sunday morning, with graveside services conducted by the Rev. Walter Hanson and interment was made at Holly Grove cemetery, Monroe county. There were no immediate survivors.
