My mother's sister in middle life married Irvin Lawson, by whom she had four children. After living many years in Jasper County, Georgia, and Tallapoosa County, Alabama, the family emigrated to Texas, where my aunt died some years ago, leaving only one child, Henry, the oldest. The daughter, Ellen, was handsome and intelligent, made an unhappy marriage with a man named Tatum, and died young. Lawson died in Rusk County, Texas, where his surviving son, Henry, now resides.
