Source: John Ogletree, Sr 1740-1822, by Kyser Cowart Ptomey, p 15 "William Phillips, Piety's deceased husband, was the sone of Joel Phillips who migrated to GA from NC. Recoreds reveal an association with John Ogletree, Sr. in NC and in WIlkes county, GA. They may have migrated to GA together. John, Sr. and Piety were appointed adminstrators of William's estate. William and Piety had a daughter Polly Harris and after the death of William, John, Sr. and Piety were appointed guardians of Polly Harris."
