From his obituary, Plattsmouth Journal, March 8, 1920: "...when about 10 years of age, he, with his parents, moved to Arapahoe, Nebraska, where he grew to manhood. At the time of his death he was engaged in the banking business in Akron, Colorado where he has been located for a number of years. The deceased was a cousin of ...and Miss Ella Kennedy of this city..."
