Notes for Lafayette F Hall

LAFAYETTE F. HALL was the youngest of three sons and four daughters of Mathew and Malinda. L.F. went one year at McMinnville College. Was educator for 6 yrs. 1875 left teaching and farmed and in business. Is anotary public and justice of peace for 2 terms. Son W.L. manages his 320 acres of the home place. First wife was Amanda S. Ellison, b. VA and d. 1869, Yamhill Co., OR, leaving 4 sons: William L., on home farm; O. E. in WA; Elmer C., mining near Gratz Pass; and Ellis also mining near Sumptor, OR. Second wife Frances M.Rowland m. Nov 1885. She b. TN; Her dat R.P. Rowland who came to OR in 1885 now has dairy farm near Mt.Tabor. From 2nd marriage has one daughter, Ethel, living with parents.
