From Clements by Stucki and Herring, p 8: In his will named his brothers, Thomas and Benjamin. He leaves his plantation known as "Indian Spring" for a Glebe for the Southwork Parish, 650 acres. Appears on the Quitrent Rolls of Surry County for the year 1704, declaring 550 acres of land.

Deeds, Wills, Etc., 1715-1730, part 2, Francis Clements, Jr's will. p 346, states that his uncles are Capt. WIlliam Browne and Maj NIcholas Merriweather (his children named: William, David, Eliz, Jane, Sarah and Mary)
