. p 64, Pettus Ragland lived at Ripping Hall. Large grants of land were allowed Edward Ripping about the time of the grants to John Ragland. (Does not list county) Possibly Hanover Co, VA.

Will proved in York County, VA, Orders, Wills, & Inventories 1733-34, p 141
Does not name his wife to whom he gives all my lots and houses in Williamsburg, during her natural life, and after her death, to my daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Mr. John Tarpley.
To my 3 grandsons, Edward, James, and Quintus Tarpley - my tract of land in Spotsylvania County, to be equally divided between them. At this time neither grandsons were of age or married.
