Southern Genealogies #1, 1600s-1800s, Historical Southern Families, Vol. XXII, Alexander Kilpatrick of Scotland & South Carolina, with Related Families: Kemp and Camp..., Page 190: Thomas Campe arrived from England ca 1679 and settled in New Kent (later King and Queen) County, Virginia, where he died in 1711.

Virginia Family Histories#3, 1600s-1800s, Virginia Colonial Abstracts, Volume II, King and Queen County, Records Concerning 18th Century Persons, 3d Collection, Page 239: John Walker's Patent in 1687 "in New Kent County on the North side Mattopony River" lists one of the boundary line as "the side of William and Thomas Camps land at the head of a Branch along Camps line"
