His will was dated July 25, 1727 and proved October 10, 1727 in the Prince George County, VA records (LDS Call 1126146, Batch #7730108, sheet #56) He legatees his Mother Batte, sisters Mary Poythres, Eliza Ligon, Ann, Stratton, Rachel Parham, Sarah Jones and his brother William, his executor and left him all his lands and negros and the remaining part of his estate in England and Virginia.
