"September 28, 1728 Abraham Jones of Prince George County was granted 235 acres of land lying on the lower side of Reedy Creek and North side of Nottoway River, adjoining Godfrey Ragsdale, Captain Peter Jones and Thomas Thrower.

In his will in addition to individual gifts of land, Abraham equally divdes among his five sons, his right to a tract in the County of Dinwiddie on the Falls of Appomattox RIver which formerly was held by my brother Peter Jones, deceased, by him conveyed to William Pride, deceased, and now in possession of Halbert Pride Gates, by estimation 140 acres.
