Notes for Stephen Tuttle Thompson

From J.A. Thomason writings from 1945-1950, General History of Marshall County Alabama
p. 173 His father was born in Ireland. The family came from East Tennessee to Hobbs Island in 1836, the year Marshall County was established. Alabama was 17 years old. They moved to Brown's Valley in 1845 and after a few years moved to Brindlee mountain at the top of Thompson falls and entered a homestead. Stephen's parents lived there till death.
