"...in 11744, Richard Bland and Ann, his wife, Edward Caldwell and Tabitha, his wife, Sarah Royall (widow), and Elizabeth Ragsdale (widow), filed complaint that in 1726, Edward Baxter, brother to the said Tabiths, Sarah and Elizabeth and uncle to the said Ann (Bland) was possessed of considerable estate...his will states if his wife Elizabeth Baxter died without heirs, then to my heirs...the defendent intermarried with the above widow. She is now dead without issue. Slaves and increase should go to plaintiffs."
