Mecklenburt Co, VA, DB 1, p 180, May 7, 1765, Robert Rowland sells to Charles Burton, 100 acres of land, mill & plantation, being part of a tract formerly granted to Hew Miller, then deeded to Benjamin Ragsdale (Mary's father), thence by deed to Augustine Rowland (Mary's husband) and from him to Robert Rowland by deed. Mary was present to relinquish her right of dower.
