Notes for James Nabours

James was born in France of German parentage. The nearest estimate of his birth was between 1775 and 1780. His oldest child was born in 1803. His brothers, John and Ben came with him from France before the Revolutionary War to Charleston, South Carolina. French Huguenot descent.

November 18, 1822 a bill of the estate of James Abrams' deed, sold through permission of Thomas J. Curenton, Esq. Ordinary of Newberry District, SC & by Mary Abrams Admse: lists item 199 as side saddle purchased by James Nabors for $2.25.

William Brown's estate 1821 Newberry County, SC, Nathan Neighbours executor. From Deed Book P2 - 314, May 13, 1822, the heirs of William Brown, Sr, dec. want to sell land of deceased. High bidder of 117 acres was James Neighbors for $300.
