Notes for Elizabeth Baset

After Thomas died Elizabeth came to Philadelphia with her children.

From Our Family Ancestor, by Thomas Maxwell Potts, Canonsburg, PA, published by the Author, 1895, p 2-2 1/2: "Elizabeth Potts and her daughter, who on 7 mo. 12, 1684, obtained a warrant from the Commissioners of Property, as follows, 'By the Commissioners of Improvement to grant lots in the Province of Pennsylvania at the request of Elizabeth Pott, that we would grant her a lot in the City and 100 acres of land (being the Headright for herself and her daughter) in the County of Philadelphia near the Welchmen. These are to will and require thee forthwith to survey or to cause to be surveyed unto her a lot near the center of the city, and the said 100 acres in the aforementioned county where not already taken up, she frncing the lot in & building upon the same within six months & improving the Land within one year from the date of survey and make returns thereof in the Secretaries office. GIven at Philadelphia the 12th 7 mo 1684. Thos. Lloyd, James Claypole"
