. 1672 William Foster sold 200 acres to George Brickhouse (wife Mary). In 1713 Brickhouse left two separated 100 acres parcels to his son Major Brickhouse; one was on the west side of "Cow Bridge Gut" and extended west to the present seaside road, while the other was between Castle Ridge and Wolf Creek.

1689 George Brickhouse (wife Hannah) left the home part of his plantation at th east end to his son George, and the balance of 100 acres at the west end to his daughter Sarah.

In The Name of God Amen, I George Brickhouse, Of the County of Northampton in Virginia, being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect sense and memory, praise be Almighty God, do make this my Last Will and
Testament.

Imprimis: I bequeath my soul to Almighty God, my Creator. hoping and firmly believing in the resurrection of the dead and that He will receive the same into his Everlasting Kingdom not of any merits of mine but through and for the
sake and merit of his dearly and beloved Son the Lord Jesus Christ, our only Saviour and Redeemer.

Item: My body I bequeath to the earth from whence it came, hoping the same, may have a decent and Christian burial.

Item: As for what worldly estate it hath pleased God of His goodness to bestowe upon me, I give unto my well beloved wife Mary Brickhouse, with all lands, house, orchards, pastures, and all my personal estate during the time she
shall live a widow.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, William Brickhouse, and his heirs, lawfully begotten of his body forever, all my land within the fence called the Cow Neck, Being four hundred acres of land more or less.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, Major Brickhouse, and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body forever, all the pasture and remainder of my land on the westward side of the Cow bridge gutt as far as the fence
aforesaid with all appertains belonging there unto being one hundred aces of land more or less.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, Major Brickhouse, and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body forever all my land lying and being between the creek calledthe Castle Ridge Creek and the Creek called the Wolfe Creek
being one hundred acres of land more or less.

Item: I give bequeath unto my well and beloved son, Peter Brickhouse, and his heirs forever lawfully of his body, all my (land) Castle Ridge northward from the Cow Bridge being three hundred acres of my land more or less.

Item: I give and bequeath to my well beloved son, Jedediah Brickhouse, and his heirs forever, lawfully of his body, my Fowling point and all the land as far as the first creek of the Wolfe Creek that makes eastward and south and goes
straight to the nyext prang that makes out of the gutt called Taripan Gutt, being five hundred acres of land more or less.

Item: I give and bequeath to my well beloved son, John Brickhouse, and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body forever all the residue and remainder of my land which is seven hundred acres.

Item: My will is that after my well beloved wife, Mary Brickhouse, shall marry or after death, that my negros be equally divided amongst my wife and sons and daughters.

Item: My will is that after the above mentioned time, my wife marries or her death that all my moveable estate be equally divided between my wife and children.

Item: I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter, Hannah Brickhouse, my biggest pewter dish.

Item: My will is that there be no administration on my said estate but in confirmation that this is my last will and Testament. I nominate and appoint my well beloved wife, Mary Brickhouse, whole and sole Executrix, in confirmation
that this is my last Will and Testament, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of September and in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirteen.

The said Last Will and Testament of George Brickhouse, Deceased, was presented to court by his widow, Mary Brickhouse, his Executrix, who made oath thereto and upon her motion it is proved in court by the oaths of
John Beloitt and Annah Beloitt and William Tankred, witnesses thereto is admitted to record and according to order, it is recorded.

Note: The person who wrote this will for George Brickhouse
spelled his name as Brighouse throughout this will, but this is the son of the original George Brickhouse and Hannah Luddington. No other will in Northampton County used this spelling.
