Notes for William Hill, Sr

Was of English descent, his grand-father Hill having emigrated from England to Virginia in 1620

1765 moved to Surry County, NC (settled on "Town Fork" now in Stokes County) and was a member of the Provincial Congress which met at Hillsboro, NC, August 20 - September 10, 1775.

His last will and testament was probated in Surry county, North Carolina, in February, 1787. Book 2, page 73
