In the name of God Amen,
I David Morgan being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory, thanks be given to God, for his mercies, therefor calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following (Viz) I give to my daughter Elender Morgan one negro woman named Milly and her son Jess.
Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Polly Morgan my negro girl Olife..
As to the residue of my estate it is my will and desire that it should all and singularly be and remain in the hands and care of my well beloved wife Fanny assuring her widowhood and afterwards to be equally divided between my five sons Kinchen, Henry, Lenron, William and Joel Morgan (Viz) After paying my just debts dc.
And I do by these presents hereby constitute and appoint my aforesaid wife Fanny Morgan and my friend H.M. Comer my only and lawful executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have there unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 21st September 1815.

Personally came before me in open court George Maddox a subscribing witness to the within will and after being duly sworn saith that he saw David Morgan the testator hereof sign the within will for the purpose there in contained and that he further saw George W. Comer subscribe his name thereto as a witness both at the request of the testator and that he was of sound and disposing mind at the time of its execution
