Notes for Jonas Potts, II

1746 Jonas went to Virginia where all his children were probably born. Late in life he with some of them came to western PA. He went to Georgetown to live with his son Noah, where he died.

History of Washington County Pennsylvania by Earle R. Forrest, The SJ Clarke Publishing Co, Chicago, 1926, p 503: Hanover, the extreme northwestern township in the county, was organized on March 11, 1786. Jonas Potts listed as coming in 1787.
