Notes for Sarah Tillinghast

Source: The Early Records of the Town of Providence (in 23 vols) printed under authority of the City Council of Providence, Snow and Farnham City Printers, Providence, RI, 1892,
Vol 10, p15-16: May 30, 1694 Sarah, Joseph's widow, brought the inventory to the council. She cannot procure bondsmen as the law requires. Since there are several young children to take care of and other necessary considerations the council makes Sarah the administer of the estate and bring up the children until they are 21 years of age. Pardon Tillinghast is ordered by the council to have some oversight and be some assistance.
