vol 5, p 256: June 9, 1701 Elizabeth puts notice in the town meeting that someone has put out the word that they intend to buy her house and lands from Isaac. She is saying that Isaac sold the land back to her by deed and has no right to sell it.
Vol 4, p 219-222: December 13, 1701 Elizabeth sells Joseph Whipple for 55 pounds her dwelling house in Providence, ten acres land. Land was given to Elizabeth in Benjamin's last will and testament, during her life and after her death to revert to their son Isaac. After the land passed to Isaac (because she remarried), he then had the power to dispose of the house and lands. Some time after Elizabeth purchased the house and lands, out buildings and orchard from Isaac on February 10, 1689. Now she is selling them to Joseph Whipple.

Vol 2, p 62-63: Elizabeth, wife of Benjamin Hernden of Providence, Joseph Herndon, son of Benjamin, Sarah Hernden, daughter of Benjamin were all brought to court by William Harris for contempt. All three plead not guility. Many jury men were not there that day and others were appointed. The court having waited long found that the jury was dissipated and could not agree on a verdict. The court orders that they bring in their verdict to the next court.
