July 19, 1916 Obituary Oxnard Daily Courier: " L.V. Kennedy of El Rio was found dead in his chair by his wife early this morning. Mr. Kennedy was a foreman for the A.B.S. company and arose early to go to his work. It had been his custom to prepare his own breakfast.
When his wife came into the kitchen at 5 o'clock she found him sitting in a cramped position in his chair. The coffee on the stove had boiled away. It is supposed that heart trouble was the cause of death.
He was one of the men longest in employ of the factory here having worked there since the factory started. He was about 59 years old. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Florence, and Mrs. Calvin Moon, and a son, Harry."

1919 Notice to Creditors for LV Kennedy estate appeared in the Oxnard Courier

Email from Claire Morris February 2, 2004: L.V. Kennedy died in the early teens. He was first buried in the old Camarillo graveyard, but when it was moved because of the new freeway the bodies were moved. Grandma was approached and asked what to do with him. She said put him in with Mrs. L.V. Kennedy, which I assume was done.
