In 1833 Naomi Bruton obtained a legislative divorce in Butler County, Alabama. Family moved to Alabama after 1820 Census probably about 1829. It appears that many families from Spartanburg, Laurens, Greenville and other surrounding counties in SC migrated as a group to southern Alabama. Many were related to Naomi - Bragss, Otts and others. It is not known whether Alexander accompanied the family to Alabama.
