Moved to Texas in 1850 to live with his Uncle Andrew McCain.
Andrew married Lorenzo and Amanda.
He was living near Andrew in Van Zandt County, Texas in 1860.
He enlisted in the Confederate army at Milford, Ellis Co., Texas, March 14, 1862. He was a private in Company D, 15th Texas Infantry and served as a teamster during the Civil War. His whereabouts are unknown after the Civil War.
