Sept 20, 1743, from Charles Jordan of the Parish of St. James and Goochland, to Matthew Jordan of same, for 40 pounds, a certain tract of land & plantation thereon,containing 400 acres in Goochland on the north side Fluvanna RIver, and bounded by the river, Rockhouse Branch, Blackwater Branch. Signer - Charles Jordan. Wit - Charles FLeming, Thos Platt, Saml Jordan. Recorded Sep 20, 1743. Hallenah, wife of the said Charles, relinquished her right of dower to the conveyed lands.

I came to Goochland Dec. 12, 1750. Preached 1st. at Dover Church Sept. 15, 1705. Received by the vestry as parish minister by the then vestry following vis: Stephen Sampson, Will Holman, Will Lewis, John Hopins, Archer Payne.

There is on record in Goochland a deed dated April 17, 1736, from Tarlton Woodson of Henrico, to Col. John Fleming, of Goochland, conveying 1290 acres in Goochland (part of "what is known as the Lickinghole survey") - 500 acres of said land had been given by the will of Charles Fleming to his grandsons Charles Jordan and George Bates. And also a deed in Goochland, dated April 1736, from John Fleming to his "cousins" (nephews) Charles Jordan, George Bates, Samuel Jordan, and Matthew Jordan, surveying 500 acres in Goochland, which hed had bought from Tarlton Woodson.

July 13, 1765, Goochland, Co, VA, Charles Jordan made deeds of gift to two of his sons, Matthew and James, as follows:
"Give grant and confirm until son Matthew Jordan 100 acres of land lying on little lickinghold creek beginning on the Thomas Fleming line."
To beloved son James Jordan 75 acres of land beginning on Farrara Decline:, and mentions Little Rocky Branch.
