Notes for William Sublett

From Icle Smith: Just a few miles from the old home of William and Mary Scott, in the Long Hollow Community, Benjamin Sublett, a son of Charles Jordan Sublett, there a nephew of Mary Scott, settled. The exact date of the purchase can not be determined on account of the buring of the Courthouse of Jackson Co, which was located at Belfont a few miles to the north and east of the present location, Scottsboro, Alabama. This buring was done by a group of US Soldiers during the War between the States.
