Sublett Cemetery in Madison County, Alabama
Note from Sylvia Jackson - " On August 7, 2001, I was in Moontown, Madison County, Alabama searching for information on my Steger family bloodline. Moontown is a small area just northeast of Huntsville and south of Gurley, Alabama, right off Highway 72. While I was looking for the land that once belonged to Payton Steger and family, I meet a wonderful lady who showed me where the Sublett cemetery is located on some of the old Steger farm. Upon arriving at the cemetery, I was very proud to see that someone has been taking care of it so well. The small double hung gates attached to the chain-linked fence were nicely oiled and free from overgrowth from overgrowth of wild vines.
Here are some of the graves. The land where the cemetery is located is currently owned by a Dr. Ross from Huntsville, Alabama."
